Cooper's Corner
2 sticks of unsalted butter, softened1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 cup granulated (white) sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla (real, not artificial) 2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
(semi-sweet preferred)
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. (You might need two, depending on size of sheet.) Cream butter and both sugars together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and stir into butter/sugar mixture. Mix well. Add chocolate chips.
Drop dough by heaping tablespoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake for approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Be sure to check at 8 minutes, just to be sure cookies aren't baking too fast. Cookies should still be a little soft in the center when done.
Let the cookies remain on the cookie sheet for a few minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool fully.
Enjoy!
